It’s cold outside & time to winterize a few things around your home! Here’s our handy “Get Ready for Winter” checklist:
1. Cover your outside air conditioning condenser to increase its lifespan
2. Remove garden hoses from outside faucets to prevent bursting pipes
3. Clean your dryer vent / piping of lint to eliminate a fire hazard
4. Have fireplace, woodstove, or heating appliance chimneys cleaned and inspected
5. Close / Cover unused indoor vents to eliminate drafts
6. Secure window latches for an air-tight seal
7. Reverse the direction of ceiling fan blades so they push warm air downwards
8. Schedule a cleaning of your heating system to maximize performance
